How do I reset Microsoft outlook 2010?

• Does this Visual Basic script do what it says? I use the calendar in Microsoft Outlook 2010, and would like to be notified of my appointments via email. The thing is, I don't know anything about Visual Basic - or coding in general. I have no reason to mistrust the code I found, but I'm aware of the potential dangers of trusting random advice found online.
