On eBay, how long does it take a payment to be processed through PayPal?

  • According to this it's been processing for two days, I'm starting to wonder if something's wrong. I selected credit/debit card through PayPal as my payment option.

    Is this the first time you have been through the system? Probably, there is something wrong with your card. Check the item that you bought to see if it says you paid for it. If not, go back and redo your payment. They have it fixed so that you cannot double pay for an item. Something might be down for the holidays, but that seems doubtful. More likely something has been rejected and they just don't get around to telling you. What you need to do is open up a Paypal account using your bank account. Paypal is built more around that method than using a card.

It sounds like your payment might have gone through as an e-check, which can take about as long to clear as a normal check does (usually 6-7 business days). You should have gotten an email from PayPal when you made the payment. The email will tell you when your payment is estimated to clear. If you didn't get an email, then log into your PayPal account and find the payment in your payment history.
