This morning, when letting the poultry out of the run, my nankin was standing kind of like a sprinter, knee bent, body cocked to the side, head pushed forward, looking very serious. She stayed stock still until all the other birds had left. Then she turned around, took off around the tree in the run, built up speed, headed for the door, and was airborn before she left the run. Flew about twenty feet, made a perfect landing.
