What are the best British comedies?

What other good British sitcoms/crime-comedies would you recommned?

  • My favourite ones are One Foot In the Grave, Some Mothers Do ave em, Fawlty Towers, Keeping Up Appearances, Hetty Waithrop Investigates... Something with ingenious British humour, and where I can see true-to-life British people, lives, places, situations. And yes, sure, with ingenious actors and actresses. I would prefer something really old, maybe until 1990s. Thanks you! PS And yes, I'd like something with family, it's boring to see only men)) lol

The British comedy sitcom "Are You Being Served", which aired in Great Britain from 1972-1985, with re-runs in the U.S. on PBS appearing later. It involved employees of London's Grace Brothers Department Store. The cast was hilarious.
