Which backpack is the most acceptable for college?

Can you legally carry over-the-counter medicine in your backpack at a community college?

  • I know you cannot at high school or any other school below that, but I wasn't sure about community college/college in general. At my current college (a junior college), people are allowed to smoke in designated areas. Since they are allowed to do that, I figured carrying OTC medicine like Advil in my backpack wouldn't be a problem, but I want to make sure it's legally safe. I need them because I have constant migraine problems. I keep Advil in my car, but I don't want to have to walk all the way back to my car for it, I'd rather keep it with me in any place I may be.

  • Answer:

While I don't know the laws in your locale, I have never heard of a community college (which nominally serves adults) having any restrictions on legal medication. I can't imagine anyone even looking in your backpack unless there was some "probable cause" search. Take your Advil and relax.

I think you'll be fine.

I think you can but it has to be in it's original container with label attached. Buy a very small bottle of it so it is easy to carry and then refill it as necessary.

Yes you can, unless it specifies otherwise.
