@FF - Voting is a right. Driving a car is a privilege and you sign away some of your civil rights in exchange for that privilege. For example, in most states, you agree that refusing to take a drug/alcohol test when requested is an admission of guilt. (5th Amendment violation, anyone?) You would think those who voted for him last time would have learned a lesson after finding so many voters were "deceased" people, and foolish names like Disney characters not to mention the guy "appointed" to be "sure" that all of the military votes from overseas got here on time--who of course, didn't--and none of them were counted! Voter ID is something we should have had all along. What complicates this no brainer is the motivation of conservatives and how they seem only interested in what's right when it hurts what is LEFT.

Perhaps to eliminate the issue the State and Federal government should issue ID cards to each individual upon reaching the legal voting age. No charge no fee to the individual. This is why there is taxes people. Isn't issuing IDs more important than say passing out $40 digital converter-box coupons to citizens that apply? BTW the conversion to digital to this day leaves many US citizens uninformed and more controllable. Issue IDs and eliminate half of the issue! Scratch that. The whole issue!
