How could you ask your best friend for a date?

Guys: You ask her out on a date. She said yes, but asked if her best friend could come along. Your response?

    Try to clarify that a date was made. Sometimes girls just feel better going places in groups. If all else fails, and she wants to bring a plus 1. Ask can you do it as well. Find a friend that wouldn't mind going to. Make it a group blind date.

Will she be bringing her date too? If she says no I may feel a bit insulted. As if she has a fear of the date not going well, she cant part from her friend for quality alone time, or even that she offered because she forgot about the date and already made other plans only to offer meeting up with you as an alternative to her friend. So many things may contribute to a response. If it is a first date I feel it should be between two people, no third wheel.
