What do you think about Brazilian football?

What would you first think of a girl who plays tackle football?

• My friend is an assistant coach of a women's tackle football team, and she asked me to join when I get back to the U.S (I live in both the USA and Australia, and I'm in Australia right now). It's not flag football, and not like the lingerie league where the girls wear bikinis. It's an actual, full-uniform tackle football league. She said they desperately need a middle linebacker, so I agreed to do it out of curiosity. I'm just not sure what people will think of a girl playing tackle football, that's really uncommon. Also, what is the linebacker position like? I don't know anything about it, lol. Does it require a lot of weight.   Middle linebacker is where they put the fastest, meanest, toughest, strongest big person. Smaller than lineman, slower than a defensive back. Bigger than a defensive back, faster than a lineman. But trends towards defensive lineman. You are never too big, but you can be too slow. The job is to plug up the defensive line and be fast enough to go to the ends or mess up a pass receiver in the center area. The job is to get to who ever has the ball and tackle that person and there are people who are going to try and stop you. The trick is to stay on your feet and keep going towards the ball. About advanced as it gets is that you knock down everybody trying to stop you, so that one of your team mates can tackle the ball carrier. You keep from getting hurt by hitting someone harder, but you will get hurt. If you are a hockey goalie, you are the kind of material they want as a linebacker. Another good point is that it is one of the easier positions to play, so a novice with the physical skills can do it.
