How do I get an image copyrighted?

How can you tell if you uploaded a copyrighted image or picture on AB?

• And how do some of these "meme" making websites and it's users not get in trouble for copyright infringement due to modifying an image they got off Google Images or other websites that "MAY" BE COPYRIGHTED....some websites disable your ability to download an image when you click on to an image if it is copyrighted. Can some one explain the free and fair use act and what exactly is meant by "public domain"? Is it true that most stuff on the internet is copyrighted ? If so how does AB and ABer's not get in trouble for uploading images and videos ect...(in some cases unknowingly)that some of these images they downloaded off a website and uploaded to AB is copyrighted or not or " MAY BE COPYRIGHTED " material !?   Copyright law is like tax law. It's too big and complex for anyone to understand and you're probably in violation of it in some way just about every day. It's purpose in modern society is to fk over regular folk whenever the bigshots decide they need to be fked over, and guarantee the rich get richer.
