I'm baby-sitting two kids this summer, and I need some fun, low budget ideas to keep the kids busy! Can you give me any good suggestions?

A lot depends on the children's ages. Picnics in the yard. Face painting. Making a play from their imagination and performing it for their parents. Building cardboard castles, you can go to an appliance store and ask for the larger boxes. Bike riding. Walks. Building a puppet theatre out of a cardboard box and putting on a show. Going to a safe playground. Swimming lessons. Fishing. Camping out in the yard. Play dates with friends. A Matinee movie. Bird or bug identification walks. Local Libraries often have "story Hour" for children. Check with the local Village or city authorites to see if they have supervised activities you can participate in. There are several web sites that if you google children's games come up with a host of fun activities you can do on the cheap. Good luck, ;)

A lemonade stand, with donations going to a charity; dog walking or cat petting at a local animal shelter; outdoor finger painting, picnic at a beach. If no beach is available, find a park. A walk through the woods, a trip to the zoo, baking cookies, building a fort or pitching a tent in the yard. Go to the library and find books on a special subject, or rent some movies, but don't spend all day indoors... they have all winter for that. Good luck!

I apologize! I forgot to mention: 6 yr old boy, and his sister is 8!

Do what my older Sister used to do with me. She'd have us play hide 'n seek and tell me to hide first...but she'd take hours to find me! I was about 25 before I caught on! :-)
