Answer:
Plasma TVs are a popular type of HDTV display technology commonly found in big screen TVs of 40 inches or more. Computers allow users to access video content through video websites like YouTube and services like Netflix, but watching videos on a normal computer monitor can be awkward, especially if you are watching with a large group or on a small laptop screen. Connecting a computer to a plasma TV can allow for a better viewing experience when watching videos. Difficulty: Moderately Easy Things You'll Need TV remote Plasma TV Video cable (HDMI, VGA, DVI, S-video) Instructions Check the video output ports on your computer. The video outputs will be located where you normally plug in your monitor. Check the video input ports on the plasma TV. Your computer and TV must have a video interface in common to make a connection. For instance, if your PC has an HDMI out port and the plasma TV has several HDMI inputs, you can use an HDMI cable to connect them. Connect one end of the appropriate video cable to the computer and then connect the other end of the video cable to the video input on the TV. Turn on the TV. Use the TV remote to change the TV to the appropriate video input channel. For instance, if you plugged the cable into HDMI port 2, you must change the current video input to HDMI 2 on the TV. Your computer desktop may display on the screen as soon as you change the input channel. If not, continue to Step 6. Right-click the desktop, choose "Personalize," click "Display Settings," click the monitor labeled "2," check the box called "Extend the desktop onto this monitor" and click "Apply." Tips & Warnings Tip: Plasma screens tend to perform better than LCDs in low-light conditions. Tip: Plasma screens can be affected by "image retention" or "screen burn" where a static image may remain burned into the screen if it is kept on the screen too long. For this reason plasma screens are not as suitable as LCD screens for use as normal computer monitors. Do not leave static images on a plasma screen for more than a few minutes.
