Leg pain/locking up knee?

I NEED HELP WITH MY LEG AND KNEE SWELLING AND PAIN My knee and leg have been swollen and hurting for the last 2

  • Hello. I have had sever leg and knee swelling and pain in my right leg for the past 2 weeks. I have not had any kind of fall or injury to the leg. I have tried everything, including a trip to the hospital ER. They ran some tests and said that all came back normal except the one for a blood clot. They said that the normal range for this particular test was 500 or under, and that my test showed a score of 542. They said that it was not elevated enough for them to believe that it was a clot.

    if the Dr you saw was the ER Dr then you really haven't been diagnosed -- they just make sure its not an emergency and then make sure you are comfortable ( the pain meds ) until you can get in to see your regular Dr --- as the others said if your leg is swollen there is something wrong -- you just need to see your Dr so he / she can determine what it is and how you need to treat it

Emergency rooms are equipped to deal with emergencies, which yours is not. Painful, yes, but what they were telling you is that you are not in a life-threatening condition. What you need to do now is make an appointment to see an orthopedics doctor and have your leg and knee examined by him/her. It is this type of doctor who will be the most help and be able to tell you what is wrong.

No one can diagnose you over the internet. It could be anything: se another doctor.

i did see a doctor and they sent me home. the swelling is enormous and the pain is awful. I wont take the pain pills they gave me because i dont like to feel "drunk". I was putting this on here in hopes of finding someone that could give me an idea, NOT A DIAGNOSIS... some real suggestions would be appreciated

So you're content to let random strangers on the internet give you medical advice? If you're leg is swollen,something is wrong. Either you're not telling us something, or you're seeing incompetent doctors. Find one that will give you an actual diagnosis. Oh, and if you want random advice, try leeches until the swelling goes down.
