Do you celebrate your birthday? How do you celebrate it?? ...
-
I don't celebrate my birthday, I never did. I only go to sleep and let it be the day after tomorrow, after my birthday. If I celebrate it, I cry. It brings back bad memories from my past. I was curious to see how other people think about this because I've heard all my life: "ohh, you don't celebrate your birthday, why? You must celebrate it" So, I kinda felt like a weido... Thank you all for your opinions!!

I quit celebrating birthdays a long time ago. I can think of better days to celebrate than one which signifies I'm getting older!!

No. If someone wants to give me a gift, thats fine, but I don't have a party or eat cake.

I always buy myself a gift, so I always get just what I wanted. LOL!

I stopped Celebrating my birthday at age 25 when I saw a gray hair. I didn't want to get older. I still hide cards people send and I don't tell my kids when my birthday is. I almost died...then I thought I should celebrate that I am still alive...but then went back to old ways again.

many times i even don't remember my birthday . I am celiac and down below Shasha is right . Low thyroid may cause gray hair and low B vitamins...Celiac issues. Life can be hard...but even people who are poor know how to celebrate. Celiac can cause depression...low oxygen in the brain...then it is hard to be happy. Gluten (oats/barley/wheat/rye) may hurt intestines so they don't absorb nutrients...then cells are not made right or work right to burn oxygen. Dairy/soy/sugar also hurts me. My depression is due to Celiac...but I am trying to be happy again in life too! If you help others be happy...it may bring happiness to you. Instead of your brothers maybe help once a week another child maybe...then you can celebrate more in life.

I'd often celebrate my birthday with family and friends. An intimate party/dinner but nothing really extravagant.
