Why does my laptop screen go black after 3-to 5 mins no mouse movement? reading article etc. touch mouse pad screen retu

  • return, I have desktop set to 5 min screen rotate of pictures,should not be reason, I set to 30 seconds ,an screen was fine no black . I put youtube video on pause and that when screen went black in 3 mins or less is this normal , how do I look into keep screen on?

    How old is it? Computer screens can go black because of age.If is old you may need to buy another one or see if someone can tell you what is wrong if you take it to a computer repair shop.

Ok,Something else must be going on with it then.I don't much about computers.But i have learned some things from my son.Has your Laptop been dropped before? Because if it has then something may have been jarred loose inside.That could also be the problem.
