Do I need a dtv converter box to watch my local channels if I have an HDTV & a blu-ray player?

Answer:
maybe, maybe not; depends on how old your TV is. Some TV's come with a built-in Antenna, other's don't. But if you have a HDTV, then all you need is a set of rabbit ear's; and then connect to your TV's coax antenna connection and you should be golden. Also, here is a site for information on what local channels you might get in your area. http://www.dtv.gov/

And with the converter it use's coax cable RG6 and it not HD. you are better off with a cable if you want HD.
