2nd addition study guide/solutions book for 3rd edition textbook?

No, the publisher would make absolutely sure that the 2nd edition would be of no use to you, forcing you to cough up the $$ to buy their 3rd edition. Textbook publishers are like that (I know from teaching in a community college.)
