I have a 2 disc set DVD of the movie The Polar Express that has it in 3D and 2D. The back of the case says (details)

 So how do I know which one is misprinted? Disc 1 looks the same as the widescreen version, for just the 2D dvd, and disc 2 says The Polar Express in 3D, so is the 3D version really disc 2, and not disc 1? The 2-disc set of the movie says that it has a 3D dvd and 2D dvd and disc 1 says the movie is 3D is on Disc 1 in 3D and Disc2 in 2D and disc 3 in 1D. Disc 1 has the widescreen version and disc 2 has the 1d dvd as the dvd is so widescreen that there is no height, leaving it 1d (left to right). The right dvd has widescreen, right? So the left has 3d dvds in the 3dvd edition. If you get the 1dvd collection it isn’t a collection because it’s 1 (and 1 3d dvd is not a collection unless it were packaged as three separate 1-d dvds. But it’s 2D and has 3DVDs but the 3rd DVD is only 1D. And disc 2 says ‘the polar express in 3D. So the 3D version is really Disc 2 and Disc 1 is 1D?

put a disc in and see what the screen says it has... hard to say who goofed up, but as long as you know what is ON the disc, you're good to go.

Go to a Best Buy and put your discs in a 3D tv

3Dtv formats haven't been standardized yet. As in the days of vhs vs. beta or HDDVD vs. BluRay, the winning format is still to be determined. Which type of 3D system do you have, active shutter, polarized, or autostereoscopic? Are you sure the dvd is compatible with your equipment?
