Why don't T.V. commercials for laxatives/constipation meds show the toilet getting flushed at the end of the commercial?

How else do we know if the medicine actually worked?

Well, because they say so! And we all know advertisers never lie!!

I won't be convinced unless they show the result on T.V. And the flush. I drifted off to sleep when a commercial was on and dreamed the rest of the commercial -- awoke with a start because what I was dreaming I'd never seen done before on a T.V. ad.

Well, I am sure you remember when underwear was not shown on TV, and now we have quite revealing Victoria's Secret ads and even TV specials, not to mention the men's underwear models. And there is talk about menstruation and erectile dysfunction and other things I would just as soon not see or think about when I am eating dinner. So I guess anything is possible. But I know a lot about constipation and how to deal with it, after years of working with patients who were taking heavy narcotics, and I really don't think anyone but maybe you wants to see the results when someone goes after being constipated for days!
