Skin still tanned after peeling off skin from sunburn

So I just went to a hiking session last Sunday and I got a really bad sunburn on the back of my neck. Eventually it got burnt and the dead skin peeled off. However I noticed that my new skin is still tanner than the rest of my back. Is it so because the skin underneath also got burnt or will it get to normal colour after some time? What if it doesn't!? lol How can I make it the same skin tone like the rest of my body?? PS. I hate tanning >.< Thaks for your answers!

It may fade in time. Just leave it and by next year or sooner you may not see the difference.

that happens most of the time it burns through about two layers of skin when tanning is done if you are still looking to tan in the future you could go long enough to even up your tan in sink with your neck or you can go get a bottle of self tanner or you can get airbrush tanning done
