Dental school with Nursing Degree?

Is a nursing degree the same from a "regular" colleges/universities or a private/technical school?

  • I attended college right out of high school and I did poorly. I was going for Nursing. I transferred schools 2 times and in the end I did finish my pre-requisites and applied for the nursing program. But they said my overall gpa was too low because they added up the gpa's I had for each school, even though the last school where I took most of my nursing pre-requisites my gpa was high. They said my only other option is to apply to a program in a private school? Are those schools just as good?

  • Answer:

Yes - they all teach the same thing - they are required to by the state licensing board. And, at the end, you have to take the same licensure test (NCLEX). A private school will cost more. You can always take some more classes and get your GPA up.
