What should I wear to an interview for a nursing position?

What should I wear for a housekeeping interview?

  • I have a job interview tomorrow for a housekeeping position at a nursing home and have seriously no idea what to wear. I have more corporate type clothing but I feel that is majorly over dressing. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks in advance guys. BTW, I remember over dressing at a position like this before, and feeling extremely out of place. I didn't get the position, but it has been so long since I've been in the market for a job.

  • Answer:

Wear a nice pair of slacks or skirt and a nice blouse or sweater. Look neat and casual. You really don't need to overdo it with a suit for a housekeeping interview, unless that is what you want to wear. For special effect, you could wear a French Maid's costume. Then as you are being interviewed, pull out a duster and give the desk of the interviewer a quick going over. Tell her you live to clean. Okay, just kidding on that part.

Really? Everyone's telling me a suit........plain black pants okay?

Yes. Why a suit? You already know that's overkill. =)
