Is one of the easter baskets more skimpy?

I want to make up Easter baskets for my kindergarton Sparks...One cannot have candy. Suggestions?

  • I don't feel right giving a bunch of candy to the other kids when this one little girl is not supposed to have it. I'm not sure if it's a medical issue, or just a request from her mom to not give her junk food. Any suggestions?

    You might line the baskets with wax paper or tin foil and fill them with a little potting soil. Put a pansy or other inexpensive flower in each one. Other thoughts: seeds to plant themselves, stickers, small packs of crayons

I'd ask the mom of the 'no candy' girl what SHE would suggest. Fruit snacks and individual bags of nuts...things like that are not 'junk food' and could be mixed in with inexpensive toys/crayons/etc for a basket. Maybe you could make a basket for each to take HOME. Use plastic eggs and treats that will enclose in the eggs, and tape them shut. That way you can personalize each basket without the other kids knowing who's getting what. You could put one large egg per basket to be opened at school, and out a fuzzy chick or bunny in it.

how about art supplies in the basket. I have a young grandchild that loves to draw and sketch and I always get him sketch pads, markers, pens, crayons, stickers and all the stuff he likes for art work.

Why not dye easter eggs. Try the Ukranian method - something different and leave the candy out entirely.
