Just as dub is a music genre that stands for the fight of human kind against 'babylon' (the corrupt and unjust system), dubstep is it's logical, modern and almost entirely digital continuation. Many people choose not to explore the roots of dubstep and figure out what does the genre truly represent. People are generally quite profane about the fact that each music genre carries the story of its Zeitgeist. That's why most people would imagine "transformers having sex" or other ignorant nonsense. Knowing the roots will give you context and the context would give your thoughts some adequate direction. As a genre dubstep makes me think about the future. About the exciting clash between technology and humanity. Maybe about a revolution of the righteous mind against the greedy governmental machine. Sometimes I imagine "Total Recall"-style cities, bustling with weird and wonderful sci-fi activities and other times I envision wonderful scenarios where humanity is interfacing with highly-evolved AIs in order to achieve common goals. I often think of how the music would evolve in the future and what kind of cultures or subcultures would discover it's true value and appreciate it's history. Other times I'm just too high to imagine anything, so I just nod my head and chill. :D

The picture that forms in my head is a combination of a few things... I see the song as a long line going from left to right with visual shapes representing each sound. Sometimes the sounds are stacked on top of each other or interacting with each other. It's almost like I'm looking at the program that the artist used to create the song in the first place, but it's not just the vertical seismograph-style lines like normal. More curved, growing, diminishing, geometric shapes. Kind of like this, but more shapes I usually picture a DJ on stage playing each sound individually using some electronic interface (if he stopped touching things, the music would just stop), and having a lot of fun trying to keep up with the tempo. Buildings falling, Godzilla, meteors hitting planets, etc. Make sense?

Well, as a Dubstep fan, this is considered a large question yet a reasonable one because, indeed, Dubstep is a very emotional and sensational music unlike older people mught say.. I do have a lot on my playlist but ill give you what I consider to be the best : 1_ Spag Heddy, Here We Go : Two years ago i had a crush on a girl and the more i talk to her, the more i admire her and when i had the chance to tell her about my feelings i was rejected by her getting hooked up with another guy.. That was devastating to me. I couldnt get over it but this song above gave me some sort of beautiful weird kind of hope, it really helped me and it was unexpected. 2_ FatRat, Unity : I always enjoyed hearing this one in the morning specially when  i expect it to be a long hard day, it kinda hypnotise me from all worries. 3_ Barely Alive, Rifle Blow Kisses : This one here is very intresting, it's that weird ugly good feeling of hyper-motivation (may i say) that makes  you want to  jump around and move every single piece of your body.. Amazing one ! 4_ Desmeon, On That Day : Well, every time i listen to this piece of art, i remember how it feels to be cheated or lied to by a close loved and trusted person, its that female angry broken voice that reminds me that women are God's most beautiful creation, the pain in her voice always move something inside of me.. 5_ Skrillex, Try It Out : One of my favourites as it always taken me to a weird places in my head, pretty much like the video clip, yet more of my kinda of places of course such as the moon and hell.. Awsome one !! 6_ Teminate, Evolution : I always loved math and practicing it, yet i find trouble staying focused. But this one above has dramatically increased my focus and helped me getting through lots of long nights of study, where ever you are Teminate.. Thank you man !! 7_ Tristam, League Of Legends : This one is very special to me beacause after hearing the same songs a lot, sometimes it becomes kinda boring, but not this one. The more i hear it the more i discover how beautiful dubstep can be, also this is the first dubstep material i ever heard and its always dear to me. By mentioning only these ones, i was unfair with many other interesting Dubstep in my playlist, but I guess i can't help it when it comes to my ugly taste of music.. And yes im working ont it  :3
