What reading grade level books would be easily understood by people at the one year mark for learning English?
-
For example: If an Arabic speaker has had a good solid year of practicing English, and I want to send him a few audiobooks to listen to, what is the best way to select titles based on what level of understanding he has with the English language? Is there any rule of thumb for this? Such as studying English for one year is equivalent to, say, 5th grade reading?
