How to send an email with Arduino and a WiFi shield?

Arduino: Not present error issues with WiFi shield?

  • I have connected my Arduino Uno (Freeduino USB 1.1) to a Wi-Fi http://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/ArduinoShields, but when I run a program for network scanning, the serial monitor prints: WiFi shield not present The code is here: http://arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/ScanNetworks The shield is properly connected, and the LED named L9 lits up on powering up the board.

  • Answer:

Might be owing to a non-compatible version of the Arduino IDE? (latest version isn't the fittest, apparently).I found proof for this weird behavior in numerous forums round the internet - even once exploitation the https://www.robomart.com/arduino-uno-online-india with its official WLAN protect, I had to travel back to version one.0.3 of the Arduino IDE (and to flush its compatible code version for the WLAN shield) so as to urge the sample code to figure. Later versions simply did not work!
