How can PC games be soo cheap in India?

There are many factors to be taken into consideration, but I believe the following is the most important factor - A cup of coffee in India at a place where the middle class Indian may dine is 12 INR, whereas the same cup at an equivalent restaurant in the UK would cost around 100 INR. To simplify, you earn more and spend more for the same thing in the UK than in India.

Well, that's just one side of the picture, looking at the hardware required to play those games, be it a PC or a console, those are definitely not cheapER in India. I'm taking the US as a benchmark since that's where those products are first released typically. And yeah, i agree with some folks who say that India being a poorer country deserves the special rates as often as possible to allow more people to access the games and at the end of the day, that's what a company wants, to have as large a userbase as possible.
