How did you learn the reciting of the Quran?

  • I remember going to madarsa when I was 6-9 years old. Those days were blessing for me. I used to skip on Thursdays because of the test of Kalima and d'ua they took , and of-course Fridays were always off. I am curious about your experiences. And what is the system for learning Quran in your country in general? Do you also have madarsa? If yes, are they woth masjid or seperate.

    My father taught me Quran when I were young, approximately 4 years old. Of course it started with Muqaddam first. But nowadays, kids started with a structured system called Iqra'. The above explanation is in the environment of Malaysia.
