Is it legal to download old (archived) issues of magazines for free? If yes, where can one download epub / mobi formats of the same?
-
I refer to big magazines like National Geographic, Rolling Stone etc.
-
Answer:
Magazines are copyrighted material, so they can't often be legally downloaded for free unless they're very old and have passed into the public domain. However, some public libraries maintain digital collections of periodicals that you can access if you're a member. Also, http://Archive.org has an extensive collection of publications online. I don't know how likely it is that you'll find major publications like Rolling Stone or National Geographic, but it's a place to start.
