What will be the best career for electronics and communication engineer?

What skill are expected from an electronics and communication engineer when he/she faces interview in a big firm alongside CSE guys?

  • Scope of electronics and communication India, competition with the CSE guys

  • Answer:

In Analog Electronics design, there is scope but the vacancies are few and far by. Mostly companies don't opt for freshers for actual circuit designing in the Analog side. You might know op-amps and transistors and stuff, but it takes a lot more experience to work in analog design. Mostly, there are two ways in which you can possibly get into the design and modification of analog circuits: Either through campus placements and sometimes through internships. Internships sometimes might not fetch you an offer since, as mentioned earlier, the companies look for experience. In this scenario, the kind of jobs that I've seen in places such as Bangalore and the likes (either through campus or otherwise) are in Embedded systems (mostly coding, but you'll code directly into the IC). Contrary to my belief, a lot of CS guys got these offers through internships. So as an ECE guy, Embedded systems is something you can concentrate on. There are a lot more companies taking freshers in this domain. Another friend of mine got an offer in a company named mobiveil. I don't have the details on this, but microcontroller logic and stuff are must. Look at FPGA as well.
