  Well I am neither a Computer Science graduate nor looking for jobs with the central government, nevertheless, since I have been A2Ad, I'll take a shot. There are numerous opportunities for Comp. Sci. grads. to work with organizations under the union government of India. Following are some of the agencies which recruit comp. sci. grads. - Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), Centre for Development of Telematics (CDOT), National Informatics Centre (NIC), Electronic Corporation of India (ECIL), Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Airports Authority of India (AAI), Indian Railways (Service of Signal Engineers), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). Those are some of the organizations who would offer you roles in your area or at least close to your area of expertise, i.e., Computer Sciences. If the kind of role that you get is not an issue, there are a few more opportunities with union government organizations for comp. sci. grads. such as- Indian Civil Services (IAS, IFS, IPS, IRS & central services), similar roles with the civil services of individual states, and the Indian Forest Services. (Note - IPS officers are also deployed to central agencies like RAW, IB, CBI and NIA, who don't recruit candidates directly), Indian Armed Forces viz. the Army, the Navy and the Air Force. (Note- Indian Air Force does not recruit comp. sci. grads. for its technical duty branch, although they would be eligible for its flying and ground duty branches), Paramilitary Forces (Assam Rifles and Indian Coast Guard), Central Armed Police Forces viz.
