What's the best free antivirus software for a PC running counterfeit Windows 7?

The Microsoft security essentials website says: Your PC must run genuine Windows to install Microsoft Security Essentials. The windows 7 I have on my PC is not genuine. What will happen if I download Microsoft security essentials? Which is the best free antivirus for Windows 7 (other than MSE)? Avast? AVG? Avira? Any other? I got a 60-day subscription of McAfee Antivirus Plus free with my motherboard which has now expired.

Avast, AVG and Avira are not good enough although installing them might give you a peace of mind if you absolutely don't interact with suspicious content. Buy a genuine product key from Microsoft; links most likely available in the very window that suggests you have counterfeited Windows. Then install MSE and be guilt free...
