Computer Hacking (security): If my Twitter account was compromised, what are the odds they are also trying to break into my email account now?
-
Twitter lists your email under your account information. Would their program have taken this piece of information down? Or are the hackers just satisfied with the ability to send tweets to my followers with sketchy links?
-
Answer:
If your Twitter account was 'hacked' then it means your password is probably in a dictionary so you should consider any account using this password as no longer yours. If this includes your email then i'ld just drop the accounts as any password reset system will be just as accessible to the hacker as you.
