This would pull people to the page. These are low budget marketing methods. Once you get a few downloads and stuff, you can ask them to leave reviews on the facebook page as well. This is the point in time when you have to advertise on facebook, as now you have some material to substantiate your claims, along with your MVP. Also, you know that your app, WILL sell..

For a b2c or mobile startup with a strong appeal on young people it would make sense to start very soon, with a small budget, to easily and quickly gather new users and validate the idea.
