Why does google now have an auto-detect location?

Is there a way to share my location in an embedded map through Google+?

  • I have location reporting turned on on my Android phone. It works great and it pings my location throughout the day. I can see pretty much exactly where I've been with my phone when I look in my account. I'm setting up a travel blog and I want to share my location live automatically. Is there a way to do this through an embedded Google map with Latitude/Google+ location?

  • Answer:

Not anymore. When Google shutdown Latitude the embeddable widget was decommissioned. As an alternative you can link to your Google+ profile. Your location is shown there and is visible to people based on your privacy settings.

I think you mean live location information sharing with the world. In case someone needs to broadcast similar information to dear and near ones or their friends, team tracker app can be used for those purposes http://teamtrackerapp.com/
