If eye candy is candy for the eye then what is eye food?

What is it like seeing or being eye candy?

  • How does it make you feel when you see eye candy? How frustrating or fulfilling is it? What is it like being eye candy? Do you try to encourage people to see you that way or do you try to discourage that reaction? Why?

  • Answer:

I like to see pleasant things, and eye candy is one of those things. Anything that falls under that category gets an "Ooh-la-la" reaction from me. Since I am in a relationship, it's always seeing (and not touching) but I do have eyes and I do have a good taste ;) With respect of being an eye candy, I would like to think of myself as one (but it takes some mascara and lipstick to sugar-coat me) ;) I have a strong core of being decent, but on fringes, I still like to flirt and channel my inner - just today I am wearing the equivalent of her iconic white dress, and high heels. Yes, I remember not to go on top of metal crates when trains are passing by.. ;)

Eye candy exemplifies the paradox that humans are all the same and each are uniquely different so I enjoy it.   Both seeing and being.  I used to be angry that I was objectified but us lifters have a special time of the day we call "mirror time" where we're eye candy for ourselves so I have learned to love it.    I love going to crowded places like the gym or a bar because it reminds me that I am a god among men.   As for others, I believe most people are indifferent.

I think i am a decent looking girl and i know a lot of guys who think I am an eye candy. Well, actually it feels really good when you know you are the center of attraction at a place. But, after a while you realize everyone is checking you out and your every move is being watched by others. Things become creepy sometimes. You feel like why can't they leave me alone and you just want to spend some time alone away from those annoying eyes. When I see another eye candy, and if I observe people are giving me more attention than her, it feels like a victory. But things can go other way round and in that case sometimes I wish I could kill that other girl. When I joined my UG college, things were very uncomfortable. As I belong to a small town, things changed quite a lot back then. Observing that everybody is looking at you all the time makes living very uncomfortable. Sometimes I felt suffocated. But, with time you learn to ignore that and you get used to it. I think its really important to be who you are. Your behavior should not depend on whether someone is looking at you or not. If you want to have a peaceful mind and want to live your life happily then learn to ignore everything rubbish around you and concentrate on yourself, your life, your dreams and your near & dear ones.

It takes every fiber of my being to not have the goofiest smile on my face when I catch a woman checking me out or if I make her blush or giggle by simply smiling and saying hello. I don't get people who are hung up on that. My outlook: Be happy people find you attractive.

I am a boy, but I can say that it feels disgusting that every man looks to you as if they want to sleep with you. Some girls may enjoy that though ! But seeing one, i can say that it feels 'AWSOME', to me it acts as a motivator though :) Indians may relate to this ad:

Let me answer in the context of my visits to my wife's hometown in China, where gweilo/laowai (foreigners) are still a rare sight and somewhat exotic eye candy, especially when that gweilo has a small "mixed blood" child with them. It is usually harmless fun, especially when going out shopping and getting long looks and flattering comments. It is becoming less harmless though with the proliferation of smartphones and the need to take selfies with the eye candy, or trying to discretely take pictures to post on Weibo (or Facebook). I think that being eye candy is rather bothersome in this day in age, where everyone has to share your image and your privacy and sometimes your safety goes out the window. I enjoy eye candy myself, but I know better than to take pictures. Just enjoy the moment, no need to obsess over it or share it with all your friends and the world at large.
