Help with selling on amazon?

How can Amazon.com help selling my Hard Copy Book (not e-book)?

  • I have a Hard Copy Book that I want to sell to people around the world and I think Amazon can help me to do this. But I still doubt about this. So, I would like to know clearly about the process that Amazon help selling my hard copy book and deliver to the buyers. Furthermore, about the price selling schema. Thanks.

Good afternoon,From my experience in publishing going back to 1959, there are ways that http://Amazon.com can help - but you might really want to use an amazon marketing/publishing partner, i.e. http://www.IngramSpark.com - Ingram is the world's biggest book distribution network - with over 38,000 Brick and Mortar bookstores as distribution, plus http://Amazon.com, Barnes & http://Noble.com, and dozens of others online. They publish 12 monthly catalogs in different niches which go out to all bookstore and also they market ebooks (from epub format) to about 65 online ebook selling sources. They cover about 80 to 85% of the world with their marketing network. The print at 9 factories around the world, in their Ingram/Lightning Source, Inc. network and there are minimal costs involved. I have used Lightning Source as a wholesale printer for publishers, http://IngramSpark.com for a marketing source for the clients we produce about 950 titles a year for, and I have heard no complaints as their marketing is quite efficient, automatic, and effective. You need a printed book layout which can be gotten from us, or hundreds of other sources inexpensively. Our prices start at $29 for a novel, you'll need a cover for a printed book, those cost a bit more - and if you want international ebook distribution you'll need an epub file, we produce those also for a few more dollars. Everything depends on the type of book, layout, design etc. If you buy 50 copies of your book from IngramSpark, there is no setup fee. They as well as Createspace (an amazon company) have made the industry easy for authors to publish well over 1 million titles a year without praying for a break from the traditional publishers - who really can't handle the number of requests they get to get a book traditionally published. It helps to have a blog, website, and market your book to your personal mailing list - but IngramSpark would be my recommendation. They will get you on Amazon, Nook, Baker Tayor, Vook, and many others around the world to sell.  You can try others, but you won't get as good a response.  From our company, who's produced over 10,000 titles in our history - that's my best response.

Amazon is a retailer, not a marketing firm.  To sell your book, people need to know about it. Amazon can do fulfillment.  To find out more about this, go here: http://services.amazon.com/fulfillment-by-amazon/benefits.htm
