Is visual studio a good IDE for Python?

What's the best IDE + Interpreter for Python on Windows?

  • I am new to Programming in Python, being engaged with C++. I am learning to program online, so the interpreter is available online. I have downloaded a python Interpretor from http://www.python.org/download/releases/2.7.5/. But, it does not have an editor, just as we have a Turbo C++ having editor + interpretor. Please suggest a good software having both Editor and Interpretor

The Python interpreter for Windows comes along with an IDE called IDLE. Just search for IDLE and you should find that it is already present on your system.
