When did organic certification start?

I want to start laser hair removal business. I am not a doctor. What sort of certification, if any, do i need to start this business?

  Depends on  your state regulations.  Some states require a doctor right there onsite or doctor to perform themselves. Some states ok'd for Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant to perform laser hair removal.  These examples typically consider laser hair removal as part of the medical field and a medical procedure. While you have others that do require a Registered Nurse or anyone certified in Laser Hair removal.  These states view laser hair removal as a cosmetic procedure typical to a salon.  There are schools that will teach laser hair removal.  You should definitely contact them to lead you in the right direction. But you can go to your local state government's website and licensing division to find out the details. If you live close to state boundaries, you may find that just crossing the border 10-15 minutes drive may make the difference because each state has their own state policies.  Ask about how much hands on you will get in your training. That is key.  But you will always need more. So please don't think you will take the class and just jump into it.  There are so many different laser hair removal machines out there which differentiate even between manufacturers. You will really have to get to know your machine.  Get to know its strengths and limitations so that you can maximize effectiveness and still no burn anyone.  People done like the word "burn" in the laser business.  Its like finding the sweet spot setting and just trying it out, knowing that each person may be different.  Definitely go to the "educational" seminars hosted by the manufacturers.  You will learn a lot.  Good Luck!
