What identification is needed for product in e-shop?

I am developing a shopping cart software and I am wondering what identification is needed for a product? ISSN and EAN are basically a part of GTIN-14 and SKU is more related to stock. So is there some other otften used identification I'm not aware of, beside those two mentioned?
