ZS Associates: I have a telephonic interview coming up for the post of Business Operations Analyst position in Pune. How do I prepare for it?

I had an interview for BAA and I don't think BOA should differ much for the telephonic. It was a behavioral + HR interview. They ask you about : a)your current work b)a guess estimate - how many balls in India kind of question c)what you expect in ZS. d)some instances where you handled a difficult problem or which showcases your leadership qualities If you clear this interview you would be called for interview at Pune which consists of a case study round and an interview with a principal

Hi! I went through this whole process of telephonic interview with ZSA some time ago. So, I can give you a walk through of it. Be prepared for a session of about 20-25 mins and preferably find a calm and silent place to take the call. You will be informed about the time of call so don't worry about that. You'll be asked to introduced yourself. So be prepared with an interesting intro to yourself. Include stuff which interests you to guide the direction of the interview. I mean, when you talk about things you like, the interviewer will ask you questions related to that. You will be asked real time situations where you applied your skills. Be prepared with situations and your actions for it. Like an instance when you helped your friend in something, a situation where you came out as the winner etc etc.. Some brain teasers will also be lobbed at you. Don't focus on achieving the result. Focus on the procedure to reach the right answer. The interviewer will be more interested in your approach to problem solving rather than the answer. Chill out..ask some questions to the interviewer. It wont be tough. Don't panic and you'll be through. All the best! :)

Practice the interview with someone. Ask that person  to record the whole interview on phone and then listen it out. Review and correct yourself. Remember this is not a face to face interview.
