How to run test in parallel in multiple nodes?

Should I run paired t-test when there are 2 factors?

  • If there are 2 factors, 2 level each, should I run repeated measures ANOVA? Most importantly, could I run a paired t-test to check the relations of 2 variables? Is it enhance the family-wise error? If not, what other test should I run? I find a significant interaction but no main effect. what other test should I run?

  • Answer:

Repeated measures ANOVAs are used for within-subject designs (versus one-way ANOVA, which are used for between-subject designs). You would use ANOVA if your study was a repeated measures design. Regarding your second question, do you want to examine how your two independent variables are related? Maybe explaining your research design will help. I'm not exactly sure what you're getting at, but if you're talking about using t-tests to get a better picture of the main effects, you're essentially describing post-hoc tests. You would be inflating the type I error rate; as such, something like Bonferroni's test would be beneficial. Did you do a test for moderation?
