What Are The Top 10 Banks of Indian Origin?

What kind of a childhood do Americans of Indian origin have?

  • NRI parents have a reputation of producing 'bright' kids who excel in studies and become doctors and scientists; that has been my observation, at least. My cousin who lives in Canada told me there must be at least one doctor in the family if you are Indian. Another obsession of Indian parents - indulging their kids in the Indian arts to the point of professionalism; my 10 year old cousin from NJ is already a pro classical violinist.

  • Answer:

I was brought up in Bay Area, CA by Indian parents who immigrated in 1990s. My childhood has been pushy. My parents tried their best to push me to my limits. They wanted me to succeed and still hope I can do better today also. Because they raised their kids here, I feel like they want the absolute best for their kids. Although I had a difficult, competitive childhood, I sincerely thank my parents for giving me all the resources they could give here. I wouldn't be myself right now without them. They motivate me and inspire me every day to try my best in life.

I'm Indian American as well and agree with the other story here - I am gracious for everything my parents gave me and find the original question extremely offensive, callous, and insensitive
