Alcohol that is meant to be drunk is ethyl alcohol so the vodka, whiskey, rum etc that any person drinks has ethyl alcohol in different levels. Now ethyl alcohol has a particular bitter taste some what similar to what any person would get while smelling burning spirit or any antiseptic purifier such as dettol (ethyl alcohol is used as an antiseptic hand wash to kill germs) If your drink (any drink) tastes bitter (not because its going sour) and has a chemically after taste chances are that your drink has been spiked with alcohol if not any other thing. Always be careful while drinking or accepting a drink from an unknown person you never know what's been out in it.
