Are pesticides killing lions, bees and birds in Kenya? Could it be Carbofuran?

When all the birds and bees do it, When all the animals do it, Why do we make a big deal of this natural process of reproduction?

  • The essence of nature is reproduction. Every living organism on this planet is reproducing to keep life on. But we humans are the only ones who make a big deal of it. when two dogs do it on street,no one bothers. when national geography shows two lions mating then every one including children watch it with awe. But all eyebrows are raised when two humans get into the act . In some societies even staring at opposite sex is treated with contempt. Every movie , every novel has to have a romantic element in it / Every relationship has to have sex in it somewhere or the other. Why cannot we be like other living organisms in this world and treat sex like any other natural act ?

  • Answer:

Other animals make a HUGE deal out of sexual reproduction. For instance, most mammals and birds practice some for of selective mating where the female chooses the most apt male to reproduce with. The male goes through a huge process to seduce the female, and will often physically challenge other males for the right to mate with the female. When was the last time you hit another person to have sex with someone? Animals expend a huge amount of energy seeking then mating with partners. Some animals die shortly thereafter - you know that the praying mantis' male is devoured by the female upon consumption of the sexual act. When was the last time you offered up your head in order to have sex with someone? No, other species place at least as great an emphasis on sex as we do.

Humans operate on hormones, emotion, and logic. We are able to plan, save, conserve, conquer, And as such, humans use their powers over their bodies, to possess, conquer, dominate, force, punish, and shame other humans and their feelings and actions over their bodies.

Because for humans sex is not only a physical process of producing babies..it has an emotional side too. There are feelings of love, honesty, trust (between a husband and wife, between bf nd gt) ,respect and honour ( marrying someone daughter/sister) associated when two persons mate. These are strong feelings that affect us. Hence to protect our feelings we impose restrictions on the public display/performance of the sexual acts. Imagine seeing a loved one in a sexual act with someone else..we will not think "..ahh natural process.." ..we may get a feeling of disgust to shock..to anger..depending on who that person is. The bottom line is we make such a " fuss " about sex because our feelings are associated with it.
