  I am a 3d Artist and a game developer. What you need to do first is decide on what you want to be exactly and then learn as many skills as you possibly can. I wanted to be an artist all my life. I sucked at drawing and painting but somehow I am pretty decent at 3d modeling. I wanted to be only a 3d character modeler at first then I fell in love with digital sculpting and wanted to be a 3d character artist. The softwares I have learned and mastered have in a way changed my likes and dislikes. Currently I am capable of making an entire animation short myself. People mostly try to specialize but I would recommend generalization. Knowing as much you can about as much as possible. Skills I have learned: 3d modeling, Texturing, Animation, Rendering, Dynamics, Rigging, Programming, Video editing and vfx, Sound editing, Graphics, logo and web designing, Game development. The softwares I have learned: Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, Zbrush, Photoshop, After effects, Premier, Unity, Sculptris, Mudbox, 3d Coat and a few others. The computer languages I have worked in: For games: C# Javascript, For websites: Javascript, Php, Mysql, Html, Css. I am a freelancer and hence I focus more on generalisation then on specialization.
