The scorpion still has it's claws. I have a crested gecho and I would never let a scorpion near him. i wouldn't recomend it. even without claws, if you caught the scorpion in your backyard or something, there's a chance that it has eaten or is covered with pesticide/herbicide/fungicide that you would not want you leopard gecko to consume. just stick with store-bought crickets or mealworms.
