Is commercial blogging worth doing for an aspiring writer?

is Writer's Market dot com worth the subscription cost?

• I'm a freelance writer in the second year of my career, as well as a lifelong creative writer with several published works. I've done a lot of performing arts blogging and local news writing and I'd like to build on that and get into more paying work as well as increase my publication credits. I've been recommended to join Writer's Market. Have others had worthwhile experiences with the service? Also happy to hear about other options. Thanks!

  I've used it a couple times. The upside is there is a ton of stuff in there. The downside is, there's a ton of stuff in there and, as of the last time I used it, the search functions aren't great, so I'd spend hours combing through things that were totally irrelevant for me in search of the rare gem of what I actually wanted. I had/have a lot better time using Craigslist and boards like Absolute Write for nonfiction/blogging-type gigs and https://duotrope.com/ for fiction guidelines.
