How can I record a webcam conversation?

  • I'm looking to record a webcam conversation. Anyone have a good suggestion? I will recording a series of conversations on my webcam. I would rather not use a screen capture, but I am open to any and all recommendations. I've heard about an option to record skype conversations. Any information would be amazing, thank you.

I dunno, a mac can run windows and linux and all that, an off the shelf PC might not be able to run OS X. So most versatile is debatable. Either way, Skype would prolly do it on the PC side too if the mac side has it. Otherwise screen recording software might be the way to go.

You could do it with an external digicam. My Sony camera works well for this sort of thing. Prop it up to fit the frame as it appears on your computer, and record onto the camera discs. You can then use Nero, or another video editing program, to edit the videos as you wish.
