Simplified baseball video game for PC?

  • I've been playing Baseball Superstars 2007 on my phone for the last few weeks, and I love it (despite the frequent freeze-ups on the loading screen)! Are there similar simplified baseball video games for PC? I know I can get all kinds of robust, full-featured baseball games for my computer, but I want something with the same sort of simplicity as Baseball Superstars. Hell, I'd even be happy with a baseball game for the PC that was easy to play with just a keyboard and mouse. Any suggestions?

Have you thought about getting a NES emulator, and finding some awesome old ROMs for it? I find Baseball Stars and Baseball Stars 2 to be wonderfully playable, even now. Add in a $15 USB controller, and all that video game muscle memory in your hands will come back, too.

god hates math

I'm a big OOTP fan but I would in no way, shape or form describe it as simplified. It's an amazingly deep baseball simulation that can suck up obscene amounts of your time. Not that I've ever had a problem with that. No, not me ;) Backyard Baseball is certainly simple enough - uses kid versions of MLB players. My son loved it back in the day, before he moved on to RTS war games.

I still get a kick out of RBI Baseball for the NES on my PC

Roger Clemens for the NES. The greatest thing about it was, if the ball went to the third baseman, the camera angle would switch to BEHIND the third baseman. So throwing to second base was to the left. It sounds silly, I know, but for me I thought it was a great innovation that simplified the game.
