How to connect php file to ms access?

I can't connect to specific websites. Help me connect to specific websites.

  • Cannot connect to specific websites, regardless of web brower. How solve? I've found that for over a year now, I cannot access www.yubnub.org off of either web browser. Firefox gives me a 'connection timed out error'. I got around this by proxy. Over time this has happened to several other websites, but many of them have cleared up by now. Today I found that my beloved www.ankisrs.net has become inaccessible (Anki cannot connect to its servers without proxy because of this). Obligatory results: Tracing route to ankisrs.net [78.46.104.28] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 5 ms 5 ms 5 ms 58-231-119-111.mysipl.com [111.119.231.58] 2 7 ms 1 ms 1 ms 125-117-138-120.mysipl.com [120.138.117.125] 3 7 ms 4 ms 6 ms 220.227.53.230 4 * 7 ms 6 ms 115.255.239.1 5 6 ms 4 ms 5 ms 62.216.147.101 6 144 ms 141 ms 141 ms so-0-1-0.0.pjr02.ldn001.flagtel.com [85.95.25.137] 7 134 ms 145 ms 137 ms so-1-0-0.0.cjr02.ldn004.flagtel.com [85.95.25.10] 8 144 ms 145 ms 145 ms linx-1.init7.net [195.66.224.175] 9 144 ms 147 ms 148 ms r1ams2.core.init7.net [77.109.128.34] 10 * * * Request timed out. 11 * * * Request timed out. 12 * * * Request timed out. 13 * * * Request timed out. 14 * * * Request timed out. 15 * * * Request timed out. 16 * [etc. etc. etc.] Tracing route to yubnub.org [207.7.108.156] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 5 ms 3 ms 1 ms 58-231-119-111.mysipl.com [111.119.231.58] 2 4 ms 2 ms 5 ms 125-117-138-120.mysipl.com [120.138.117.125] 3 7 ms 8 ms 3 ms 220.227.53.230 4 5 ms 6 ms 17 ms 115.255.239.1 5 7 ms 6 ms 6 ms 62.216.147.73 6 135 ms 135 ms 133 ms so-1-3-0.0.pjr01.ldn001.flagtel.com [85.95.25.114] 7 129 ms 142 ms 136 ms so-1-0-0.0.cjr03.ldn004.flagtel.com [85.95.25.14] 8 128 ms 132 ms 132 ms 195.50.122.49 9 132 ms 132 ms 132 ms ae-34-52.ebr2.London1.Level3.net [4.69.139.97] 10 219 ms 218 ms * ae-43-43.ebr1.NewYork1.Level3.net [4.69.137.74] 11 208 ms 207 ms 206 ms ae-10-10.ebr2.Washington12.Level3.net [4.69.148.50] 12 220 ms 221 ms 219 ms ae-1-100.ebr1.Washington12.Level3.net [4.69.143.213] 13 226 ms 223 ms 215 ms ae-6-6.ebr1.Atlanta2.Level3.net [4.69.148.105] 14 231 ms 231 ms 232 ms ae-63-63.ebr3.Atlanta2.Level3.net [4.69.148.241] 15 265 ms 265 ms 265 ms ae-7-7.ebr3.Dallas1.Level3.net [4.69.134.21] 16 272 ms 269 ms 270 ms ae-83-83.csw3.Dallas1.Level3.net [4.69.151.157] 17 265 ms 265 ms 265 ms ae-81-81.ebr1.Dallas1.Level3.net [4.69.151.150] 18 269 ms 271 ms 263 ms ae-4-4.car2.SanDiego1.Level3.net [4.69.133.213] 19 281 ms 276 ms 273 ms ae-11-11.car1.SanDiego1.Level3.net [4.69.133.209] 20 267 ms 266 ms 267 ms NEXTLEVEL-I.car1.SanDiego1.Level3.net [4.53.121.34] 21 268 ms 268 ms 266 ms 207-7-100-51.sd.nextlevelinternet.com [207.7.100.51] 22 * * * Request timed out. 23 * * * Request timed out. 24 * * * Request timed out. 25 * * * Request timed out. 26 * * * Request timed out. 27 [etc. etc. etc.] What can be ruled out: - Browser issue - Spyware (replicated on Ubuntu LiveCD) - DNS issue - MTU issue [I tried adjusting the MTU to optimal figures, but makes no difference for me] - Messing with the Hosts file - Witchcraft I've also done an ipconfig release/renew to no effect. A lot of sites seem to suggest messing with the router, but this is where I get hazy. I don't own a router, and my connection is PPPoE (not sure what it all means). If I try to connect to my gateway via browser, I get a page for 'Log2Space' Subscriber Management Software, which is where I can enter my username/password to view account usage etc. No settings whatsoever. Ideas, mates?

  • Answer:

Yes, the sites work via proxy. I want them to work minus proxy. You may have been firewalled at the destination site. Sometimes, when a site gets a lot of abusive traffic from a particular dynamically-allocated block of IPs, they solve the problem by blocking the entire group. If so, you're up a creek. I just did a tracert to yubnub.org and the destination server is one past the last one you reached, which suggests to me that yubnub.org has blocked you.

Other answers

I would try downloading http://code.google.com/p/namebench/ and seeing if you are behind any censorship walls. Plus that can tell you if your current DNS setup is having any issues.

msbutah

Installed and ran namebench. I'm running it again now, to upload the results over at their site. I can't tell if it's behind any censorship walls - it seems to give me 'appears incorrect' for every test URL and 'hijacked' for PayPal. (This seems to be consistent with other results at http://namebench.appspot.com/). It did suggest me to change my DNS server, which I did, to no effect (of course, since DNS was already resolving for Ankisrs and Yubnub).

http://namebench.appspot.com/id/4927318. Going to take the percentage with a pinch of salt though. In the first test, the recommended primary and secondary servers were the ones now dropped one rung below and Google's DNS wasn't even in the top three. In any case, this doesn't seem to be related to DNS...

1) Who's your ISP (who do you pay money to for your connection)? 2) What is the connection from your computer to the internet (where does the physical cable go)?

anaelith

1) My cable guy. I understand he's probably the middle-man, but he offers me a great deal. 2) I live in an apartment building, so the cable goes up to the roof, I think. Sorry I can't be much help in that. >_<

Senza Volto

OK, so what cable company does he represent? Is there a box between your computer and the wall? Or do you plug your computer directly into the wall?

anaelith

Can you access those sites using a proxy? Try http://anonymouse.org/anonwww.html, for example.

Chocolate Pickle

@anaelith: A company called 'Vvision', it seems. No box between computer and wall - the cable goes straight out the window upwards. @Chocolate Pickle: Yes, the sites work via proxy. I want them to work minus proxy.

Are you running PeerBlock or anything of the sorts? Have you cleared your cache recently?
